This is a very belated post, so apologies for old news: A few weeks ago we got tickets to the Sounder’s last regular season match against LA Galaxy (sadly, sans David Beckham). Once again, like last year, we had so much fun. It was unseasonably warm and even better, unseasonably dry for late October.
After the game we got to go back to the green room and meet DeAndre Yedlin, the grandson of Linda Yeldin who works in our department. It was fun to see all the players coming out, nicely showered and just excited to see their friends and families. He was super sweet – and even came to surprise one of our patients who was a big Sounders fan at the Center last week:
What a nice guy! Definitely takes after his sweet grandmother 🙂 He’s very good, so we expect him to head off to Europe soon, but it was fun to meet him while he’s playing here.
I know I said this last year, but I’m going to try to go to more games this next season (hello, why am I not enjoying a beer in the summer sunshine instead of the rain?). But seriously, this next year I may even drag Jeff to a game.
